چکیده

An efficient technique for the solution of large-scale electromagnetic radiation and scattering problems arising from the surface integral equations and the method of moments is developed. The conventional MoM basis and testing functions are used to discretize the integral equations resulting in a dense impedance matrix. A block-partitioned wavelet transform is then employed to sparsify the matrix. Full advantage is taken of the sparse nature of the mathematical model to solve the system of equations by means of the recently introduced Stabilized Bi-Conjugate Gradient method (BiCGSTAB (l)). Various problems are considered involving perfect electric conductor and dielectric material. Results are compared to the corresponding results obtained via the direct solution, or LU decomposition, of the original MoM dense matrix. Excellent results are obtained in a very efficient manner. By block partitioning the MoM impedance matrix as it is built and performing the wavelet transform on the matrix blocks, analysis of very large electromagnetic problems becomes possible in a very efficient and accurate manner. 206 Zunoubi and Kishk

Multi-spectral Image Resolution Refinement Using Stationary Wavelet Transform with Marginal and Joint Statistics Modeling

Abstract. We present a pixel-level fusion method to refine the resolution of a multi-spectral image using a high-resolution panchromatic image. Our approach is an adaptation of the ARSIS method which takes into account the higher-order statistical moments of the wavelet coefficients. The use of the stationary wavelet transform allows the fusion between images of non-dyadic dimension with less “...

Apple Shape Classification Method Based on Wavelet Moment

Shape is not only an important indicator for assessing the grade of the apple, but also the important factors for increasing the value of the apple. In order to improve the apple shape classification accuracy rate, an approach for apple shape sorting based on wavelet moments was proposed, the image was first subjected to a normalization process using its regular moments to obtain scale and tran...

Simultaneous Multiple Regularization Parameter Selection by Means of the L-hypersurface with Applications to Linear Inverse Problems Posed in the Wavelet Transform Domain

In this paper, we introduce the L-hypersurface method for use in linear inverse problems. The new method is intended to select multiple regularization parameters simultaneously. It is a multidimensional extension of classical L-curve method and hence does not require any speciic knowledge about the noise level or signal semi-norm. We give examples of the L-hypersurface method applied to the lin...

A Time Delay Estimation Method for MIMO Systems

A time delay estimation(TDE) method for MIMO systems, using combined continuous wavelet transform(CWT) and cross correlation method, is proposed. By calculating and handling the cross correlation between the CWT coefficients of system input and output data, a series of time delays over scales (frequencies) are calculated and an unbiased estimation is deduced from them. The TDE method under clos...

The Inversion of Poisson’s Integral in the Wavelet Domain

A wavelet transform algorithm combined with a conjugate gradient method is used for the inversion of Poisson’s integral (downward continuation), used in airborne gravimetry applications. The wavelet approximation is dependent on orthogonal wavelet base functions. The integrals are approximated in finite multiresolution analysis subspaces. Mallat’s algorithm is used in the multiresolution analys...
